Employee Benefits...
Health Insurance: the health insurance plan for the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes is a self-funded insurance plan administered by Allegiance Benefit Plan Management, Inc. Employees may cover their spouse and/or children at their own expense. Prescriptions are covered, however the plan does not cover dental and/or eye care costs. After the $500.00 deductible is met, Allegiance will pay 70% of the bill.
Life Insurance:- The Tribe will provide coverage for
employees at their base salary, not to exceed $50,000, at no
cost. Employees may request additional optional coverage up
to four times their salary. Spouses and children may also be
included. The rates are age and salary based.
Retirement Plan:- Participation in the retirement plan
is mandatory. Employees may contribute 3-6% of their gross
pay, and the Tribes will match their contribution. An
additional 1-10% may also be contributed that is not matched
by the Tribe.
Leave Accrual:- Employees earn
Personal Time Off leave on a bi-weekly basis. Personal Time
Off leave accrual is based on years of service with the
Tribe.
