Tribal Education Department...

Our Elders teach us that the most effective way to invest in the future is through education. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes strive to build a self-sufficient society and economy and the primary way to do so is by investing in future generations.

The Confederated Salish & Kootenai Tribes and The Bonneville Power Administration
Tr. P.I.R Day demonstration Mini Grant

The Bonneville Power Mini Grants are designed to offer educators the opportunity to show the connection of the information and resources they receive at the Tribal PIR Day into the classroom.

Each grant (up to $500.00) will assist educators in compiling a creative document showing:

  • A resource introduced, built, and/or utilized in the classroom.
  • An activity the class participated in related to a specific PIR Day session
  • An event produced from the information/resource they learned about at a PIR Day
  • Connection with a speaker to further explore a subject related to their classroom curriculum.
  • Materials purchased or reproduced for classroom use.

The process has been designed by the Tribal Education Department and is given to school administrators to determine the eligibility and disbursement to the educators in their schools so that the funds fit each schools specific need.

PROCESS:
