Ownership Records...

The Land Technician Title and Records Specialist records and encodes all title and encumbrance documents for trust land on the Flathead Reservation. Encumbrances can include leases, easements and rights-of-way, mortgages, etc. Similar to the Clerk and Recorder at a county courthouse, the Specialist records:

• Deeds
• Probates
• Mortgages
• Rights-of-Way and other Easements
• Leases

The Specialist also provides reports of:

• Individual Trust Interest (ITI), indicating if and where an individual owns trust property, or an interest in trust property
• Inventory of Trust Interests (INV), providing a monetary value (if applicable) of trust interests owned
• Title Status Report (TSR), showing all encumbrance documents on a tract of land
