Land Services...
The Land Services Program manages Land Acquisition, Land Exchange, Gift Deed, Land Survey, and Easement/Right-of-Way transactions. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes (CSKT) were among the first in the nation to contract management of these services from the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
Newer programs include Kerr/Arco Land Acquisition, resulting from Tribal efforts to obtain funding to purchase lands for wildlife and fisheries habitat enhancement, restoration and protection. In 2004, the CSKT were chosen as the first self-governance tribe in the nation to operate a pilot program to purchase fractional land interests under the Indian Land Consolidation Act (ILCA).
Please refer to the individual Program Pages for application forms and additional information about Tribal real estate services.
